Corina Choy
Content strategist helping creators and businesses figure out what story to tell, and why.

I’m a queer, non-binary creative with a curiosity for all things content.
My background is in screen media, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Film and TV. I learnt marketing by doing it: building my own social accounts, creating content and working with businesses on theirs.
Storytelling matters to me because it can help us understand each other and ourselves. That’s what drew me to creative work, and it still shapes how I think about content today.
Now I bring storytelling, strategy and marketing together. I like understanding the people behind a business and the audience they want to reach before jumping into ideas. Then I help work out what to say, why it matters and how to bring it to life.
My Creative Journey
From making videos for fun to bringing storytelling and marketing together. Each step gave me another way to think about content.

As a teenager, I wanted to be a YouTube creator. Making my own videos became a way to learn by doing: filming, editing and figuring out how to tell a story.

I studied a Bachelor’s Degree in Film and TV, taking ideas through production and post-production. Working on sets taught me how to bring a story together with other people.
I wanted to explore beyond film and TV, so I started creating for my own social accounts. Getting on camera myself helped me understand what I ask businesses and creators to do.
Today, I combine creative thinking with the planning that helps ideas become a reality, across content strategy, organic social media and paid advertising.

I start with the purpose, shape the message, then work out how to bring it to life.
I start with who the content is for and what we want them to understand, feel or do. That gives us a clear purpose before we choose a format or come up with ideas.
Then I work out the main thing we need to say. I shape the story around that message, so what someone takes away connects back to the purpose.
The purpose and message guide the format, script, visuals and editing. Sometimes a trend is the right fit; other times, the idea needs to last beyond the moment.
Different ways to work together. Start with the one that fits what you need.
